Corinne Lillian Hilden Clausen, age 90 of River Falls, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on November 18, 2021 at Preferred Senior Living in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. Corinne was born April 19, 1931 to Vernon and Pearl (Dopkins) Hilden. She graduated from Prescott High School and continued her education at the University of Wisconsin River Falls receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Rural Education. She married Stanford (Bob) Clausen on August 31, 1950 at Ezekiel Lutheran Church in River Falls. They lived in Hammond, Wisconsin for two years and then moved to Mann Valley in rural River Falls for the remainder of their lives. Their union blessed them with three daughters Patrice, Kristine, and Denise and their families.
Corinne enjoyed drawing, fashion, home decorating, following politics, and reading. She was an animal lover and had many beloved poodle-mix dogs throughout the years.
Corinne is survived by her daughters, Patrice (Jeff) Rusinko, Kristine (Greg) Eaton, and Denise (Will) Ruemmele; grandchildren: Nathan (Kristy) Rusinko, Jessica Sallander, Luke (Jenna) Eaton, Jake Ruemmele, and Kady (Yev Foster) Ruemmele; great grandchildren: Alex and Ben Rusinko, Ashlyn and Eli Sallander, Lilah, Harrison, and Grant Eaton; sister-in-law, Shirley Clausen; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; parents, Vernon and Pearl Hilden; sister, ter, Rosalie Strand; brothers, Wayne Hilden and Shelden Hilden; sisters-in-law Marlene Hilden, Mary Hilden, Vivian Clausen, Elaine Wood, Nancy Clausen; and brothers-in-law Ernie Strand, Al Clausen, Bill Clausen, and Walter Wood.
A private family service will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Interment will take place at Mann Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jessica Sallander, Nathan Rusinko, Luke Eaton, Jake Ruemmele, Kady Ruemmele, and Ashlyn Sallander. Honorary pallbearers are Eli Sallander, Alex and Ben Rusinko, Lilah, Harrison and Grant Eaton.
