ELLSWORTH Police Department Reports
The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department Nov. 1521.
Monday, Nov. 15
Police investigated the activated motion lights at 6:12 a.m. on the rear of the building at 579 Vincent Lane. Everything appeared to be secure.
At 3:28 p.m., a caller reported finding a black and white duck in a fenced area at 240 Broadway St. The duck appeared to be from a farm and had some kind of injury in the chest area, but didn’t seem to be suffering. The caller said they would try to find it a home.
Police assisted EMS at 5:36 p.m. at 112 Evergreen Estates St.
Wednesday, Nov. 17
At 12:54 a.m., police assisted EMS with a person who had fallen from a bar stool and hit her head at Broz Bar (455 E. Wall St.)
Officers assisted EMS as needed at 11:13 a.m. at 860 N. Grant St.
Travis Gans, 23, Hager City, was arrested at 2:56 p.m. at 310 W. Main St. for a probation violation.
A parent reported a stolen green iPhone 11 at 7:31 p.m. The phone was taken from a locker during a wrestling meet sometime between 3:45 and 5:15 p.m. at Ellsworth High School. The locker’s lock was in place but unlatched.
Thursday, Nov. 18
At 1:16 a.m., police received a complaint of juveniles sleeping at 139 S. Piety St. Their car wouldn’t start. The car was jumped and curfew warnings disbursed.
Friday, Nov. 19
At 6:46 p.m., a complainant reported finding a small vial of tablets at 5:45 a.m. at 412 W. Kinne St. Police took photos and destroyed the tablets.
Saturday, Nov. 20
Police checked on a suspicious idling vehicle at 1:56 a.m. in the Summit Park parking lot. The occupants said they were hanging out before going home. One was given a curfew warning.
Sunday, Nov. 21
A resident reported a missing cat at 7:29 p.m. at 404 High Point Drive.
At 9:39 p.m., an officer removed a large branch from the roadway at Northview and Old West Main streets.
