Park went 1-2-3 in the all-around to vault past visiting Roseville Thursday in the girls gymnastics season opener.

Park’s Emily Dahlstrom (beam), Leah Smith (vault) and Rainna Jameson (floor) each won an individual event and finished first, second and third, respectively, in the all-around.

Park won the meet 127.325 to 118.175.

“They did really good,” said Park head coach Ali Flaata. “First meet, we got it under our belt. There was some nerves for sure, some mistakes definitely. But they had fun and they did their best and that’s all we can ask for.”

Dahlstrom earned top gymnast honors with a score of 32.650. Smith was second at 32.350 and Jameson third at 32.125.

Dahlstrom won the balance beam with a score of 7.950 and was second on vault (8.275), second on floor (8.950) and fourth on the bars (7.475).

“I think I was definitely happiest with floor,” said Dahlstrom. “I think I hit it. I think my goal is to add my upgrades into my routines because these ones are watered down and just to stay on the beam.”

Smith took top honors on the vault (8.450), finished second on bars (7.950) and was third on the floor (8.325), fourth on the beam (7.625).

Jameson had the best score of the night with the only 9.0 awarded in the meet for her floor exercise. She also was third in the vault (8.2) and bars (7.6).

“We had some great performances,” Flaata noted. “We had some spotted vaults but we’re well on our way to some big scores on vault. Leah and Emily both had amazing saltos. Bars, I’d say Emily Dahlstrom was our standout just with her clean lines and connected bar routine. On beam, again Emily Dahlstrom had a really solid routine, She fell off but everything else was executed with precision. And on floor our last three varsity athletes are throwing some really big skills. We had some mistakes but they’re well on their way to some big routines.”

Park’s Kacie Diaz earned a third on the beam with a score of 7.8.
