PIERCE COUNTY Accident Reports

Police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 2:05 p.m. April 13 on Highway 35 just west of 1180th Street in the town of Oak Grove. A 2012 Subaru Impreza, driven by Hope Kaia Northagen, 21, Maple Grove, Minn., was traveling northbound on Highway 35 when it came out of a curve while descending a hill, crossed over the roadway, entered the west ditch and hit a number of trees before going over an embankment. It came to rest at the bottom of the embankment facing south. There were no tire marks on the roadway to indicate the driver applied the brakes at any time. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. An ambulance transported Northagen to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with suspected serious injuries.

Ovcers responded to a one-vehicle crash at 9:08 p.m. April 14 on Highway 65 just east of 740th Street in the town of Trimbelle. A 2007 GMC Sierra, driven by Javan E’Steven Kastberg,

31, Ellsworth, was traveling southbound on Highway 65 near 740th Street when it lost control, crossed the center line, entered the north ditch and rolled. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. Kastberg wore a seat belt and reported no injuries. He was cited for operating left of center and driving too fast for conditions.

Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash at 10:34 p.m. April 14 on County Road CC one-third mile north of 450th Avenue in the town of El Paso. A 2005 Dodge R25, driven by Aiden William Maxwell, 16, Maiden Rock, was traveling northbound on County Road CC when it crossed the center line, entered the southbound ditch and rolled. The truck was towed due to disabling damage. Maxwell and juvenile passengers ages 17, 15 and 17 from Plum City all wore seat belts and reported no injuries. Driving too fast for conditions was considered a factor in the crash.
