Recovery networks helping out in state and in Hastings

June 24, 5:30 p.m., Faith in Recovery will be held at St Philips Lutheran Church, 1402 15th Street W. Keynote Speakers are cofounder and Director John Donovan, Recovery Community Network, St Cloud, Donovan is a veteran, author, public speaker, thought leader, veteran’s advocate and person in longterm recovery. He’s a recovery coach with over 40 years of lived recovery experience. The event also features founder and Executive Director Tiffany Neuharth, LADC, CPRSR, RISEUP Recovery MN, Hastings, who will speak on “Redeeming Lives; Restoring Dignity.”

The St Cloud Recovery Community Network is about Our Veterans and serving those who have served. The RCN is passionate about assisting veterans in recovery or who are seeking recovery services. Four of their board members are veterans in longterm recovery. They hold a special charge to assist anyone in the veteran community who may be living with or seeking help with a substance use disorder.

The Recovery Community Network seeks to provide services to our veterans and their family members through peertopeer services and collaboration with other veteran friendly agencies. Through a grant from the State of Minnesota, they have a dedicated staffmembers who provide services to those who have served.

They also hold a weekly inperson and online meeting for veterans in recovery. The meeting is entitled: “Veterans Experience, Strength and Hope.” Additionally, once a year during National Recovery Month, they bestow the Chief Master Sergeant Russ Habighorst Humanitarian Award upon one veteran in recovery who has been instrumental in spreading the message that treatment works and recovery is possible RISEUP MN Recovery is a Recovery Community Organization serving Hastings and the surrounding area. They provide peer recovery support services, advocacy and community education. They believe in and value all pathways to recovery . Their fundamental values are grounded in Christianity. They value each individual’s journey of healing, change and transformation. They have a “recovery first” value that places the utmost value and belief in each individual’s ability to achieve and maintain long term recovery. They know because they have lived it every day.
