Churches are the backbone of a community and Faith Evangelical Free Church in Stanley is no different. They conducted their first service on July 7th, 1963 and for 59 years have been going strong ever since. Part of the Evangelical Free Church of America, Faith Evangelical Free Church’s mission is connecting everyone, everywhere, every day with the Love and Message of Jesus Christ. And that mission has spilled out into the community through many of the events that they host each year, including mental health seminars and marriage counseling. Every Easter, Faith Evangelical Free Church hosts an Easter Service at the Stanley Movie Theatre. February 4th they are hosting No Regrets Men’s Conference, along with a Marriage Banquet on February 18th. From June 25th to July 1, members of the youth group will be going to Tennessee as a service project trip. Faith Evangelical Free Church also provides a Women’s Ministry Brunch the second Saturday of every month in the Fellowship Hall.

Faith Evangelical Free Church has a passion for Children’s Ministry with Vacation Bible School every summer and weekly Children’s groups starting in the fall. This past year they hosted a Youth Kickoff Carnival for the start of their Fall Children’s Connection that saw the parking lot filled with happy faces! Children’s Connection for grades Pre-K to 5th Grade and Youth Group for grades 6th through 12th meet Wednesday nights from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Prayer services are every Sunday at 9:00 am in the youth room. Join them for a 10:00 am service on a Sunday morning and you’ll likely hear their contemporary worship band leading the congregation in praise to Jesus.
