The Town of Delmar approved the increase of the 2024 tax levy by 20% at the special meeting of the electors on Oct. 14.
“We agreed that we were going to go with the 20% again this year,” Chairman Peterson noting that the Board reached a consensus to present it to the electors during their meeting last month. This brings the total town levy to $133,092.00 which will serve as the 2024 tax levy for the Town of Delmar.
At the regular meeting immediately following the special meeting, the Board approved an assessor contract with Prochnow Assessing Inc. for three years at $9,000 per year.
The Delmar Budget meeting was scheduled for Nov. 18 at 8 p.m. with the regular meeting to follow.
