Brat Dinner to take the place of ice fishing contest

With temperatures warmer this year than previous, the annual ice fishing contest put on by the Stanley Sportsman’s Club has been replaced this year with a brat dinner.
The dinner, to be held at the Stanley Community Center, will take place Saturday, Feb. 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with both dine in and take out available.
For just $10 community members can get a brat, potato salad, baked beans, a cookie, and choice of coffee, soda, or water. Drawings will be held for the cash prizes normally associated with the ice fishing contest.
In addition, Club president Frank Dusick said the organization will be raffling a Winchester shotgun, to help raise money for the new trap shooting club the group oversees.
Come on out and enjoy good food!
