Are you a resident of the Village of Boyd who is interested in local civic matters and over the age of 18? If so, the Boyd Village Board currently stands in need of a trustee to fill President Bob Geist’s spot. Geist’s trustee seat was left empty when former Village President Randy Setzer retired from the post and Geist took his place, with no one stepping in to fill the trustee seat.
Ok you say, so what will I be expected to do, and what’s in it for me?
In the first place, you will be expected to show up to meetings the second Monday of the month at 705 East Murray Street in Boyd and help make decisions you feel in the best interest of the Friendly Town. Committee appointments are currently filled, and the seat occupied previously by Geist is up for reelection in April 2022, meaning you can bow out in nine months if you decide it isn’t for you.
Those interested in serving the local Boyd community through being a village trustee should contact the Clerk’s office at 715-667-3420 or else see the Village President. Final decisions on board membership would be up to a recommendation and vote through the current board.
Serve the village and have a say in the goings- on at 705 East Murray Street: consider applying to become a trustee today!
