Ringelspiel Days was the main topic at the monthly meeting of the Boyd Chamber of Commerce held Monday, April 14 at 5:30. The annual event will take place May 23, 24 and 25 at Lotz Park in Boyd.
To start off the weekend, the new Miss Boyd will be crowned on Thursday evening at the Boyd Legion Hall. Any young ladies interested in becoming Miss Boyd should contact Carrie Seichter at 715-703-0951. Miss Boyd represents the town at various parades and events throughout the year, and will attend the St Paul Winter Carnival in January 2026, in St. Paul MN.
Spectrum Carnival will be on hand again this year with rides, games, fun and food for the entire family starting on Friday and lasting through Sunday. St. Joseph school staff will be in the concession stand Friday and Saturday with their famous Philly steak sandwiches and other goodies. Also available throughout the weekend will be the Stanley Rodeo/Truck & Tractor Pull group with their scrumptious deep-fried cheese curds. CRIMSON THEORY takes the stage Friday in the big pavilion/beer tent from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Saturday will feature the 2nd annual Bean Bag tournament held by the T ball field. Sign up at 12 noon with play starting at 1 p.m. To sign up your team or for more information, please contact Moldy at 715-829-9533. St Peters Lutheran Church will be hosting a craft show at the church from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Also, on Saturday the Boyd Legion will be sponsoring free bingo for visitors in the pavilion beginning at 12:00 noon. PAINT ME FIRST professional face painting will be on hand from 1pm-5pm for free face painting for the younger visitors. There will also be a Pedal Pull contest with sign-up at 1 p.m. Saturday evening will bring free music provided by FULLY LOADED in the big pavilion/beer tent beginning at 7 p.m.
Sunday begins with the parade down Murray Street. Line up begins at 10 a.m. with the parade starting at 1 p.m. Questions regarding the parade can be directed to Cory Zais. After the parade the Boyd Lions will be cooking up their charcoal chicken. Children can enjoy the free petting zoo. Visitors can enjoy free music provided by VIRGINIA STEEL from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. in the big pavilion/beer tent.
There is a lot going on so mark your calendars to come out and enjoy a good time with friends and neighbors.
