It’s time to get out the costumes and get dressed up for Halloween! The Boyd Lions Club will again be sponsoring their annual trick or treating for area children on Thursday, October 31, 2024, during Boyd’s regular trick or treating hours of 6 pm to 7:30 pm. Hot chocolate will also be available.
This year the event is being moved from the lot next to Tolley’s Bowling Alley to the former McQuillan plumbing shop on Murray St in Boyd. Children and adults are encouraged to dress up and visit the new Halloween headquarters and pick a bag of goodies out of the coffin. And approximately 20 goodie bags will hold a special gift of a $2 bill! The Boyd Lions have sponsored this event for over 50 years, initially holding the event in the elementary school, with the last 15 or so years being held downtown. So make plans now to enjoy trick or treating in Boyd with the Lions club!
