Businesses connect at Coffee and Commerce event held at Lube Suppliers Store

Posted

Members of the Stanley Area Chamber of Commerce were treated to coffee, juice and delicious donuts at the Coffee and Commerce morning event sponsored by Lube Suppliers Store on January 4th. Reestablished in 2020, the Stanley Area Chamber of Commerce organized Coffee and Commerce, a local monthly gathering that gives local business owners an opportunity to connect and share ideas in a relaxed setting. The networking event is held from 8 am to 9 am on the first Thursday of each month.
After Chamber members connected over coffee, Steve Millen, owner of Lube Suppliers Store, provided an informative tour of Lube Suppliers Store that gave a glimpse into the day-to-day operations and highlighted the items offered by Lube Suppliers such as, pet food and care, chainsaws, and cold weather products including snow throwers, boots, and other gear. The tour also showed the growth of the store and included a look at the new addition finished in 2023.
Millen is glad to be a part of the Stanley Chamber of Commerce as he feels that it serves as the vital link between businesses, government, and the community while working to create a thriving and economically vibrant community. He says, “By fostering collaboration, providing resources, and advocating for a business-friendly policy environment, the Chamber plays a pivotal role in our community. When businesses flourish, consumers and the community will benefit.” He spoke on the significance that events like Coffee and Commerce have on local businesses. “Regular gatherings are great opportunities for networking and building a sense of community among local businesses. In addition, many of our local businesses offer products and services that we’re often unaware of and sometimes mistakenly assume aren’t locally available. Having a different purpose to visit, such as a Chamber event, can expand our knowledge of what our community offers.”
The next Coffee and Commerce event will be held on Thursday, February 1st from 8 am to 9 am at Citizens State Bank in Stanley. For more information on how to become a Stanley Area Chamber of Commerce member visit the website at stanleychamber.us
