Dennis Mike Wall, 73, of Stanley, WI passed away on September 12, 2022.
Dennis was born on November 21, 1948 to Edward and Donna Wall in Milwaukee, WI. He graduated from Menomonee Falls High School in 1967, and enlisted in the Army on July 19, 1968. He served in the Vietnam War until he was injured, returning home, but serving in the Army Reserve until his honorable discharge on July 18, 1974. During his tenure, he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Combat Infantryman Badge.
Dennis was the second of three sons born to Ed and Donna, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his older brother, Darold (Gloria), and survived by his younger brother, Bill (Carrie) of Slinger, WI.
Dennis married Ruth Marie Neureuther on July 28, 1973 and they were married until January 2, 1997, but remained good friends during the remainder of his years. They had two boys, Michael (Erin) and Steven (Tina) both of Eau Claire. He was the loving and proud grandfather of two grandchildren, Abby and Joseph. He is additionally survived by his nieces and nephew, Michelle Olson (Marshall), Ryan Wall (Krystal), and Jacklynn Lighthizer (Bryan), and eight great nieces and nephews.
Dennis worked at Stolper Industries, in Waukesha, WI for 33 years, retiring to Stanley, WI, a place he considered home, where he lived out the rest of his years working part time jobs at Don Smith and LaGranders Cheese Factory until he officially retired. He enjoyed being part of the community at Sunset Homes in Stanley, WI, and a regular at The Hill House, until his health made it difficult for him to visit his friends there.
A memorial visitation will be from 3-6 PM on Friday, September 23 at the Plombon Funeral Home-Stanley. Military rites will follow and Inurnment in the Woodland Cemetery-Sheldon at a later date. Memorials are appreciated to the Wounded Warrior Program.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Aspirus hospital in Stanley, Clark County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Heartland Home and Hospice, for the exceptional care and compassion they provided to him.
