Martino’s Restaurant in Stanley held its Pizza for Prevention event on Oct. 7. All money from sales at the restaurant that day is divided between the Stanley and Boyd-Edson-Delmar Fire Departments. In the more than a decade Martino’s has held the event, where local firefighters work in the kitchen and wait tables, this year pushed the donation total past the $75,000 mark. Martino’s owner Ron Haas handed checks for $4,337.11 to B-E-D Chief Ron Patten (left) and Stanley Chief Korey Hagenson (right). The money is used by the departments to purchase necessary lifesaving equipment.
