Emily Brenner named to All State Team for Volleyball

Watch out for the team and good things may happen. That’s the takeaway following the announcement of Oriole Emily Brenner being named to the All State Team for Volleyball.

Brenner, an outside hitter for the Orioles as they made their way to the Sectional championship at Oconto, was nominated in mid-season and will receive the certificate for her accom plishment, along with an invite to a December 4th celebration at Appleton. Emily’s coach Rainy Antolak had more to say when reached for comment on the rare honor.

“Coaches nominate players mid-season they feel are worthy of all state honors to the Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association,” Antolak said. “The Association then sends a regional representative out to watch those players in game situations.”

With Antolak going on to say that “Stanley-Boyd volleyball has always been team-oriented and not focused on the individual,” Coach Antolak said that, “Emily is concerned only about her team’s success and not individual accomplishments. That has been evident to everyone who came to see our team play this year.”
