Proceeds will be used to benefit Ronald McDonald, Wisconsin Children’s Hospital and the MDA

The Fourth Annual Team Aubree Fundraiser is now over, and judging by the number of people who both helped and responded, it was a success.

The annual thrift sale in the old Cannery building on North Broadway is held in honor of Aubree Jean LeTendre, who died in February 2019 from a muscle disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy or SMA, affecting her muscle’s ability to function properly.

Proceeds from the annual fundraising event held May 12 through the 14th this year will go to benefit organizations that helped Aubree in her fight against SMA.

“Team Aubree would like to thank everyone who helped make this thrift sale a success!” the sign on the door announced as people walked in. Included in the list of those who helped the fundraiser succeed were the donators of the many items inside, friends and family who helped set the thrift sale up, and also those who came to stop by and shop, with $5 allowing one to fill a bag full.

With VHS and DVDs, board games, books, and clothes, shoppers at the thrift sale this year had a large selection to choose from. Once again, the proceeds from the thrift sale will go to help those organizations who helped Aubree, including the Ronald McDonald House, Wisconsin Children’s Hospital, and Muscular Dystrophy Association, or MDA.

Deanne LeTendre was present at the Team Aubree fundraiser this past Wednesday through Friday at the Cannery on North Broadway. Aubree Jean LeTendre passed away from Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a disease that affected her muscle’s ability to function properly. The annual Team Aubree fundraiser is held in Aubree’s honor.
