Girl Scout Troop 3241 has recently attained its Silver Award with a sign project at Fandry Park, installing electric scoreboards at the ballfields there.
The project, which first came before the council for its input last year, was completed by the troop together with support from the community.
“Our Silver Award project was to install two electric scoreboards at our local softball and baseball park,” Troop Leader Kate Bourget shared of the project. “When deciding on our project we wanted to do something meaningful to us. Improving the park is important to us as softball players and baseball families. Through the overwhelming support of our community, we were able to raise over $9,000 to place two electric scoreboards making our goal a reality,” Troop Leader Kate Bourget shared.”
The boards are on view at Fandry Park.
