With varsity girls basketball due for a scrimmage Saturday, Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. at Stanley-Boyd, Orioles Head Coach Ryan Wundrow shared some thoughts on how the team and season are looking thus far.
“We return most of our team from last year which is nice,” Wundrow said. “We hope to hit the ground running unlike last year where there was a lot of learning on the fly. Most of our system is installed and now we just need to improve our skills. There should be less thinking and more reacting and making reads. We hope to be much more competitive this year and have some younger players that are hungry to show their skills. We start with a tough schedule of non-conference games that will challenge us but that is a good thing. We are excited to get started and continue to make improvements in all we do.”
Following a Nov. 16 scrimmage against Colfax, the girls varsity Orioles are scheduled to play a game with St. Croix Central Tuesday, Nov. 19 at St. Croix Central High School. Game start is 7:00 p.m.
