Monday the general store was opened and Esther, Joann, Dennis, Sandi and Lorraine shopped while it was open. After that we had our Christmas party. Cookies and punch were served to everyone at the party. We played several minute to win it games including “the nutcracker” which one had to stack nuts on top of each other that were looped onto candy canes. The other game that was played, one had one minute to knock as many plastic cups off the table that they could using only rubber bands from a set distance from the table. The third game, everyone had to unwrap items in a big ball of plastic wrap.

Tuesday morning, Sandi and Lorraine played 500 Rummy. Della spread Christmas cheer after she set up her Christmas decorations in her apartment. Groceries were also ordered and delivered.

Monica, Barb, Bernice, Bernie, Bunny and Pat decorated felt gingerbread men and wreaths on Wednesday morning. Pat Q, Monica, Carol B Susan and Pat shopped at the store and bought some neat items. More Christmas parties were put on in the afternoon.

On Christmas Eve, all residents and tenants received gift bags that were put together and donated by Precious Care Center and Preschool in Boyd. The bags included shampoo, coloring books, word puzzles, a pair of socks and candy. Bingo was also played in the afternoon.

On Christmas morning, all tenants and residents received a tin of gourmet cookies. After, the scrumptious Christmas meal, everyone enjoyed a cup of hot cocoa while listening to Christmas music and colored and worked on word searches.
