Meeting on Monday, July 11, the Stanley-Boyd Alumni Association, Board of Directors met and assembled for mailing the over 1,600 invitations for the 10th Annual All School Reunion. The 2022 reunion will be held on Sat – urday, October 1, at the Stanley-Boyd High School Gym. Assisting the Board with the mailings were a good number from the Class of 1962, who will be hosting the reunion this year. Follow – ing the assembling of the mailings, the Board Meeting was called to order by President Ken Seufzer. After approving the secretary and treasurer reports, the Board got into the work of finalizing plans for the annual gathering. A review of the work plan indicates all plans are pretty much in place for this year's re – union. Boyd Catering will be serving the roast beef and chicken dinner. It is hoped that there will be a good turn – out and that all alumni will consider a gift to the Scholarship Fund or provide a memorial for a deceased classmate. Both sources of revenue are important to support three $1,500 scholarships that will again be awarded to 2023 graduat – ing seniors. Three awards/recognition's will be given out this year at the annu – al meeting. It was decided to print the Reunion Programs at the school in the interest of cost savings. During Committee Reports, Audrey (Smoczyk) Folczyk reported on recruit –

ing a new member to the Board of Di –

rectors. She also noted there were sev – eral other prospects. New members of the Board will be introduced and voted on at the Annual Meeting. A discussion on meeting times resulted in the Board voting to change the meeting times to early evening, making it possible for people still working to be members of the Board. Kim (Witt) Nelson gave a re – port related to the Silent Auction, which is held in conjunction with the reunion and serves as a major source for fund –

ing scholarships. President Seufizer re – ported on the Association's entry in the Boyd Ringelspiel and Stanley Rodeo parades. He thanked John Pozdell, who assisted him. Heidi (Eslinger) Swope's resignation from the Board was accept – ed with regret. It was noted that this coming January there will be a need for replacing five veteran Board members, whose terms expire.

In an attempt to blanket media sourc –

es with information on the Annual Re – union, information will be provided through The Stanley Republican, in the Stanley Area Historical Society News – letter, and on the Association's Facebook page, which can be accessed through – stanleyboydalumniassociation. As a new business item, it was noted that with the change in treasurers, the bank account has been moved to North –

western Bank in Boyd and the LPL Fi – nancial Scholarship Fund will have the names of Rose Ebert, Treasurer and Jeanne Rygiel, Vice-President placed on the account and thus giving them access to account information. Prior to adjournment, it was an – nounced that Board members and Class of 1962 members will gather at the S-B High School gym on Friday, September 30 at 3 pm to get the gym ready for the reunion..The next Board of Directors Meeting will take place following the All-School Reunion on October 1, to re –

view the day's activities. The Novem – ber Board Meeting was set for Tuesday, November 1 at 6 pm at the Stanley Area Historical Society Meeting Room. It is hoped that previous attend – ees will return and be joined by others to make this year's reunion a big suc – cess. It is also hoped that alumni will again consider providing their financial support with memorials, general fund and scholarship donations. The Board of Directors is looking forward to seeing many old and new faces at the 10th An – nual Reunion. If anyone has questions, you can call Ken Seufzer at 715-8323306 or Eileen (Strangret) Samplawski at 715-644-0117.
