The Stanley Area Historical Society museum at 228 Helgerson St. will be closing for the season after Saturday, October 2. The museum is open next weekend on both Saturday and Sunday 1-4 pm. After that the museum will be open most Tuesdays 1-3 pm or other times by chance. Tours can be arranged for family reunions, clubs or organizations by calling 715-644-5880. A thank you goes to all the volunteers who helped keep the museum open during another unusual summer season. SAHS will be saying goodbye to Eric Mehnet, a UW-Eau Claire student, who has been working during this season, learning all aspects of museum operations. The museum will also be open for those attending the October 2, All-School Reunion, from 9-11 am and from 1-4 pm. Other visitors that day are also welcome.
