Martino’s Pizza and Fire Prevention arrives to Pine Street Oct. 11.
Martino’s Restaurant co-owner Megan Junker shared the details for the annual pizza and fire prevention fundraiser on Pine Street in Stanley.
“It’s Saturday the 11th 11-9 p.m.,” she said. “Same as previous years, fire truck and ambulance on hand, if weather is nice we will have a bounce house! We also will have some smoke alarms on hand to hand out to those in need of one! We’re so grateful for the generosity of our community and partners in making Pizza & Prevention possible,” Junker said.
Cost for the large 1 topping pizzas is $19 while the cost for a small 1 topping pizzas is $12.
Customers are asked to keep to one topping for maximum speed and efficiency.
As in years past, the pizzas will be made by firefighters from both Stanley and Boyd-Edson-Delmar Fire Departments. A variety of kitchen utensils will be donated by Society Insurance, with smoke alarms by Forward Insurance and Forward Bank. A bounce house will be provided by Hazuga’s True Value, with donations pending from Performance Food Group and Pepsi. An ambulance and fire truck will be present on site as well.
All proceeds will go directly to benefit both the Stanley and Boyd-Edson-Delmar Fire Departments, whose members will be helping Saturday with everything from answering phones and making dough to cutting pizzas and serving in the dining room.
“Both departments will put that money towards purchasing equipment,” Stanley and Boyd-Edson-Delmar Fire Chief Ron Patten said of Pizza and Fire Prevention at Martino’s. “It does help.”
Come out and support the firefighters!
