Chapman Park now has new birdhouses to replace the old and somewhat dilapidated ones, thanks to a broad community effort.
“The new large birdhouses were built and donated by the prison,” Hoel shared. “There are several small birdhouses throughout the park that were built by an anonymous donor and painted by some children from the school.”
With the proper campaign to welcome returning birds, the houses could prove popular for generations to come.
