STANLEY-BOYD Police Reports
May 26 5:18 p.m.
Fraud complaint regarding credit card being opened in complainant's name. No fraudulent charges were incurred and the card was can- celled without further incident. Documentation only at this time with written statement collected.
5:21 p.m.
Trac complaint on Highway 29 eastbound from mile marker 87. Area checked but the ve –
hicle was not located.
7:32 p.m.
Miscellaneous complaint. Report to follow.
7:39 p.m. Trac stop resulting in the arrest of James Mills, age 50 , for a contempt of court war rant out of Wood County. Mills was taken into custody. Warrant bond was paid through online services with the Wood County Jail and Mills was released from custody.
8:29 p.m.
Semi traveling eastbound on Highway 29 reported as losing cargo from the rear at mile marker 79. 11:28 p.m.
People located in Chapman Park after hours. Contact was made and they were instructed to leave. 11:52 p.m.
People again located in Chapman Park after hours with similar outcome. The park closes at 11 p.m. nightly with the exception of special events. May 27 12:08 a.m. Vehicle check made on unoccupied vehicle in front of residence. The residence did not ap- pear to have forced entry.
12:32 a.m. A person was observed standing in the park –
ing lot of a business location after hours. O cer attempted contact with the person but they were no longer found in the area. The area was checked and nothing suspicious was observed.
1:24 a.m. Compliance check at the Reclaimed Bar,.
No violations observed. 7:36 a.m.
Stanley Police observed a vehicle traveling faster than the posted speed limit. Vehicle was stopped and juvenile operator was cited.
8:32 a.m. Stanley Police observed a vehicle traveling faster than the posted speed limit. Vehicle was stopped and the operator, 19-year-old Jared Wink, was cited for a speeding violation.
8:37 a.m. Stanley Police received a criminal damage complaint in the 200 block of East Sixth Av –
enue. Ocer spoke to reporting party and ob – served pieces of cardboard on the roof and tire tracks in the driveway. No criminal damage was observed. Complainant requested docu mentation and extra patrol in the area.
11:11 a.m. Stanley Police were requested for a vehicle lockout. The vehicle was opened.
1:48 p.m. Stanley Police were requested for a gas drive ou. The business had wrong information.
4:32 p.m. Stanley Police observed a vehicle traveling faster than the posted speed limit. The vehi cle was stopped and the operator was issued a warning and required to provide proof of cor rection.
7:46 p.m. Police were requested for a loud music complaint in the 600 block of Park Avenue.
May 28 1:15 a.m. Police investigated a suspicious vehicle in Fandry Park after hours.
2:17 a.m.
Stanley Police were requested to assist the Thorp Police Department with an OWI trac stop near Thorp.
2:25 a.m.
Stanley Police conducted a trac stop for an equipment violation. The driver was verbal ly warned.
9:10 a.m.
Stanley Police were requested to respond to Kwik Trip for a man asleep in a vehicle. It was later determined that medical conditions were a contributing factor.
10:34 a.m. Stanley Police were requested for a vehicle lockout. The vehicle was opened.
2:43 p.m. Stanley Police observed a vehicle rollover with injury on Highway 29 eastbound west of mile marker 97. Crash invested by the Chippe –
wa County Sheriu's Department and Wiscon sin State Patrol.
6:04 p.m. Stanley Police were requested to assist the Clark County Sheriu's Oce for an OWI traf – fic stop on Copenhaver Avenue south of State Highway 29.
8:29 p.m. Stanley Police were requested for a vehicle lockout with a one-year-old child inside. The vehicle was unlocked and the child was reunit ed with parents.
May 29 1:17 a.m. Police were requested for a disturbance, with the result that Kimberly Kuneau, age 49 of Stanley, was arrested for domestic-related Disorderly Conduct, Battery and Bail Jumping.
