We have two winners to announce this month, Joe Karlen was the March High Five Award Winner and Pat Fitzsimmons was the April winner. On behalf of the Stanley Community Association and Martino’s Restaurant we thank you for your dedication and service to those around you. The winners received the High Five Award certificate and a Martino’s Restaurant gift card. Joe Karlen was nominated by a fellow Stanley resident for his dedication to person in their moment of need. The nominator wrote in about a situation they witnessed when Joe helped a wheelchair bound person who was stuck in snow. He pulled over his vehicle, assisted them and made sure that the person made it home safely. Thank you, Joe, for thinking of others in our community—people like you make Stanley a great community!
Pat Fitsimmons was nominated for her work with the campground. The nominator said “She works collecting campground money for the city. She's always giving the police department treats including trey. She's very kind person to anyone that meets her. She worked for the school for many years.” Pat, we appreciate your hard work for the city! We are looking for our next community honoree!
