Monday was a wonderful day to enjoy the outdoors. That’s exactly what we did for lunch. Tenants and residents voted on the meal for our cookout. They chose cheddarwurst on a bun, potato salad, coleslaw and an ice cream sandwich. Yum! Later, the general store opened its doors. Dennis, Jules, Joann, Monica and John were all great customers.

All residents and tenants who needed groceries on Tuesday, ordered them to be bought and delivered. Everyone celebrated Barb, for it was her birthday. The cooks did a fantastic job on her cake and everyone sounded harmonious as they sang “happy birthday” to her. Jules, Monica and Denny joined together to play several rounds of crazy 8’s in the afternoon.

Wednesday morning, Monica went for a walk and stopped in the library for a book to read later. Betty and Kathy sang songs in the morning together and Anna received a manicure.

Thursday morning there was a lot of activity in the general store. Susan, Ed, Dorothy, Monica, Jules, and Fred either paid with tickets or cash with their items. In the afternoon, Dorothy,

Betty, Les and Yvonne sat down for a snack and few good stories about the nostalgic board game Scrabble and a particular fami-

ly's journey to Ellis Island. Les and Yvonne also got their nails

done.
