School year on schedule to end May 25 despite snow days

It’s winter, and while temperatures at present might be mild, that can mean snow days from time to time—but not an impact on the academic calendar just yet, it turns out.

In the first place, the school has only been closed three days for inclement weather. While Wisconsin does have requirements for hours of instruction divided into kindergarten, grades 1-6, and grades 7 through 12, the use of virtual instruction days means old fashioned snow days, aren’t what they used to be—a good thing for the calendar and summer vacation.

“With the use of virtual instruction days, we are in good shape for this school year, Stanley-Boyd superintendent Jeff Koenig shared recently. “Unless we continue to have major weather issues, there should not be an impact on the academic calendar.”

The current school year for Stanley-Boyd ends on May 25, with graduation on May 26.
