Shannah Boiteau has been found, but not as hoped.
Last seen June 22, 2016 after reportedly exiting her boyfriend’s vehicle near St. Cloud, Minnesota, Boiteau’s skeletal remains were found within the city of St. Cloud, approximately 100 yards from where she was seen entering a forest. A search led by law enforcement was conducted shortly after her disappearance, with another led by family taking place in October of that same year.
The area in which Boiteau was found had been flooded due to a wet summer and was unsearchable at the time. The Chippewa Falls Police Department put out a statement on Boiteau after she was found.
On Sunday, April 27th, 2025 the Chippewa Falls Police Department was notified by the St. Cloud Police Department (MN) of human remains that were located within the City of St. Cloud. The remains were processed and examined for identification.
On Monday, April, 28th, 2025 the Chippewa Falls Police Department received confirmation from the St. Cloud Police Department that the remains were of Chippewa Falls missing person Shannah Boiteau. At this time, the St. Cloud Police Department is investigating the matter. All further inquires should be directed to the St. Cloud Police Department at 320-345-4444.
The Chippewa Falls Police Department would like to extend our condolences to the Boiteau family during this difficult time.

“It is with great sorrow and sadness that we have to report that we have found Shannah Boiteau and she has gained her angel’s wings,” the Help find Shannah Boiteau Facebook page shared. “Please respect our privacy as we grieve and process all of this. Much love to everyone who has shared and helped us through this from the start.”
The S-B Class of 2011 graduate leaves behind a daughter and had expressed a desire to become a chef in her yearbook entry. A service for Shannah will be held at a later date, with details posted at Help find Shannah Boiteau on Facebook.
