The Red Cross collected 58 units of blood at the Stanley-Boyd Community Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday, October 16, with the goal of 56. There were fifty-seven presenting donors and 11 no shows, but we did it again and exceeded the goal. Some of those slots could have been filled with other donors wanting to donate.
Those assisting with this drive were Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, who allowed the use of their facility, canteen donations from FFA Alumni and Stanley Commercial Club, site volunteers, the volunteers who called donors, and all the donors who took their time to come in.
The next Stanley-Boyd Community Red Cross Blood Drive will be Thursday, December 24, 8:30 am to 1:30 pm at Boyd Legion Hall. If you would like to make an appointment for this drive, please call Donella Christianson at 715-644-3638 or schedule one yourself online. Please remember, if you need to cancel or change your appointment, let Donella know so slots can be opened for other donors.
