July 17 1:13 p.m. Stanley Police conducted a traffic stop for non-registration of vehicle. Operator Amanda J. Haas, age 39, was cited for no insurance on the vehicle and verbally warned for non-registration.

8:13 p.m. Police observed a loud verbal argument in progress. Contact was made with all parties involved and they were separated for the evening.

9:25 p.m.

Traffic stop conducted for an equipment violation. The driver was warned.

10:17 p.m. Another traffic stop was conducted for an equipment violation and the driver warned. 10:37 p.m.

Traffic stop conducted for a moving violation. The young person driving was cited for operating without a valid license while passenger Jacob Suggs, 18, was cited for permitting an unauthorized minor to drive.

11:38 p.m. Traffic stop conducted for a moving violation. The driver was warned. July 18 1:12 a.m. Traffic stop conducted for a moving violation. A passenger of the vehicle, 38-year-old Megan Counter, was arrested on a warrant and probation violation.

7:04 a.m. Stanley Police were requested to assist the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department with a crash on State Highway 29. Assistance given as requested.

9:26 a.m. Stanley Police were requested for a neighbor dispute in the 200 block of East Second Avenue. Contact was made. Report to follow.

2:06 p.m. Stanley Police were requested for debris in the roadway. Stanley Public Works requested to remove item. 2:09 p.m.

Stanley Police were requested for an out of control young person in the 200 block of North Franklin Street. Upon officer arrival they had calmed down.

4:48 p.m. Stanley Police conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation. Driver verbally warned. 5:10 p.m.

Stanley Police were requested for a vehicle lockout. The vehicle was opened.

11:30 p.m. Officer requested to America Inn and Suites for a report of two individuals who refused to take out their trash that was in the hallway. Officer spoke with owner and determined there was only one bag of trash, which was later taken to the dumpster after the officer spoke with the two individuals.

July 19 12:44 p.m. Stanley Police were requested for a dog running at large. Dog was claimed by owner.

2:38 p.m. Stanley Police were requested for an EMS call in the 200 block of Clark Street at Boyd. Responded and assisted as requested.

3:18 p.m. Stanley Police were requested for an out of control young person. The young person was removed from the residence and sent with a respite worker.

6:28 p.m. Police were requested for a dog at large complaint.

6:31 p.m. A theft report was made. 7:34 p.m. Police were requested for an animal neglect case in the 100 block of East Second Avenue. 9:18 p.m.

Police requested for a car vs. deer accident on State Highway 29.

9:20 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted. July 20 9:57 a.m. Stanley Police received a theft complaint in the 500 block of Madison Street.

12:59 p.m. Stanley Police conducted a traffic stop for speed in the 100 block of North Broadway Street. Driver verbally warned.

1:00 p.m. Paper service received for current residents of the AmeriVu Inn and Suites.

Both individuals were served and the proof of civil process was forwarded to the Chippewa County Clerk of Courts Office.

5:29 p.m. A miscellaneous complaint was filed from the AmeriVu Inn and Suites.

7:16 p.m. Police responded to a young person complaint on North Emery Street. Parties were counseled and incident documented.

10:56 p.m. Traffic stop conducted for moving violations. Johanna Larson, age 20, was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Carlos Rodriguez, age 18, was cited for operating while suspended. A young person will be referred to DHS for possession of drug paraphernalia.

July 21 1:37 a.m. Police responded to a check vehicle complaint on Gilman Street. The area was thoroughly checked and no issues were observed.

1:05 p.m. 911 hang-up with a young child on the phone upon callback. It was later determined that there was a medical issue with another child at the residence that was being addressed via the local hospital. 1:48 p.m.

Ongoing renter/landlord complaint involving a pending eviction. Renter advised that this is a civil issue. 3:09 p.m.

Found wallet turned into the Stanley Police Department. Contact was made with the owner who arrived at the station on July 22 and retrieved the property. 5:32 p.m.

Fire alarm called in by alarm company. It was quickly determined to be a false alarm and was cancelled by the homeowner.

8:24 p.m. Police responded to an assault not in progress in the 600 block of Gilman Street. A young person was referred to juvenile intake for battery.

9:12 p.m. Police responded to a fireworks complaint. The area was checked, at length, and no fireworks were observed.

July 22 1:17 a.m. Police responded to a request to assist a Clark County Deputy in an active pursuit of a vehicle on Highway 29 westbound approaching Stanley. Police arrived and attempted to deploy spike strips before the vehicle passed but were unsuccessful. Clark County terminated the pursuit shortly after. 1:46 a.m.

Police were notified of a vehicle on the shoulder of Highway 29 westbound with its flashers on. The vehicle was gone prior to police arrival.

9:10 a.m.

A two-vehicle crash was reported from the 700 block fo East Murray Street. The required information was obtained and a crash report completed.

3:15 p.m. Numerous pieces of sheet metal were removed from the eastbound lanes of State Highway 29 near County Highway H.

3:32 p.m. Two-vehicle crash with no injuries reported on State Highway 29 at County Highway H. Crash report completed as required. 10:08 p.m.

Police requested for a fireworks complaint from the area of Sunset Homes. July 23 4:47 a.m. Police were requested for debris on the highway.

2:30 p.m. A debit card was located in the ATM machine at a local bank and subsequently returned to its owner.

2:48 p.m. Theft reported at a local business. Report to follow. 4:25 p.m.

A caller reported a woman walking along the shoulder of the roadway and a man following behind in a vehicle. Upon checking the area no one was observed walking in the area nor were there any signs of any issues with any of the motorists. No additional calls were received regarding this matter.

7:22 p.m.

Police were requested at Pine Court for a neighbor dispute.

7:44 p.m. Police requested for a criminal damage complaint in the 300 block of East Third Avenue. 9:12 p.m.

Police were requested for a noise complaint.

July 24 12:40 a.m. Police were requested to assist the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Department.

12:24 p.m.

Stanley Police conducted a traffic stop for operating while. suspended. Driver Mathew W. Nye, age 41, was cited for operating after suspension and verbally warned for having no insurance. 4:27 p.m.

Stanley Police conducted a traffic stop for speed in the 600 block of North Broadway Street. The driver was verbally warned.

9:05 p.m. Police were requested for a noise complaint.

10:32 p.m. Police were requested for suspicious activity in the 300 block fo East Sixth Avenue.

10:38 p.m. Police were requested for a young runaway on Second Avenue.

10:41 p.m. A check person call was received.

July 25 4:37 a.m. Stanley K9 Officer Trey and handler requested to assist the Eau Claire Police Department.

6:03 a.m. Traffic complaint originating on Highway 29 near mile marker 87 involving a vehicle driving erratic eastbound from the listed location. Upon responding to Highway 29, the areas was check for a while but no vehicle matching the information received was located.

8:27 a.m. A report of shouting and swearing in Chapman Park near the bandstand was received. Upon arrival officer spoke to four young people and advised them of the complaint. They were instructed to leave the band stand area as well as no further disturbances. They advised there were no issues and they left the park a short time later.

12:26 p.m. A missing person Facebook post was passed on to the Stanley Police Department but later cancelled after the young person was located and picked up by a family member.

10:32 p.m. Police responded to a request to assist Clark County in locating a vehicle involved in a hit and run on Highway 29. As police checked the area Clark County advised they had located the vehicle outside of Stanley. July 26 12:14 a.m. A traffic stop was made for a moving violation and the driver was warned. 12:34 a.m.

A traffic stop was made for a moving violation, with the outcome that Gage Marten, age 19, was cited for non-registration of auto.

11:20 a.m. Ongoing calls regarding a young person who was causing issues at home. Phone contact made with the father who advised that the person was in their room and it appeared that things had calmed down. No injuries or damage to property was reported and they would try to make arrangements with the respite home later that day. July 27 2:02 a.m. Traffic stop conducted for moving and equipment violations. The driver was warned.

2:14 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted for a moving violation and the driver warned.

3:23 p.m. Consent contact at the listed address. A person was sitting in their vehicle and was thought to be someone else who was currently wanted through Eau Claire Police. The person was identified and advised not to drive due to them not having a valid driver’s license.

4:40 p.m. Stanley Police were requested for several 911 calls. Upon arrival it was determined to be a pocket dial.

8:17 p.m.

Stanley Police received a check person call referencing people removing items from a garage in the 600 block of North Franklin Street.

8:34 p.m. Stanley Police were requested for a theft and damage of trail cameras in the 300 block of North Franklin. Report to follow.

8:49 p.m. Stanley Police requested for a bicycle theft from the 200 block of Lincoln Street. While en route, the caller advised the bike was located at her son’s friends house.

July 28 1:30 a.m. Stanley Police conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation. A young person was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign, verbally warned about a probationary license violation (four passengers) and out past midnight. The young passengers were warned about curfew violation. Traffic cones observed in the vehicle were seized and need to be returned to the Eau Claire County Highway Department. 5:04 a.m.

Stanley Police observed a vehicle deviating several times form its designated lane of travel, crossing the white center and fog lines on Highway 29 westbound. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was verbally warned. 6:24 p.m.

Stanley Police conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation and the driver was verbally warned.

11:08 p.m. Stanley Police made contact with young people out past curfew. The young people were verbally warned and advised to return home, being observed walking into their residence.

11:19 p.m. Stanley Police were requested to AmeriVu Inn and Suites for tenants locked out of their room by management. Ongoing issues. July 29 8:43 a.m. A traffic complaint regarding a red semi tanker traveling eastbound from the Cadott area. A semi matching the description was located, but no violations observed.

10:12 a.m. Erratic driver complaint from the Clark County area traveling westbound on Highway 29. Nothing observed.

12:10 p.m.

Vehicle lockout. Waiver form filled out and the vehicle was unlocked without incident. 6:40 p.m.

A traffic stop was conducted for a moving violation. Jenna Lokrantz, age 33, was cited for criminal operate after revoked and operate motor vehicle without insurance.

6:46 p.m. Police responded to a gas drive off complaint at the Stanley Travel Stop. 8:10 p.m.

A traffic stop was conducted for a moving violation, with the result that Tyler Straskowski, age 23, was cited for operating after suspension, non-registration of auto, and operate motor vehicle without insurance. 9:29 p.m.

A traffic stop was conducted for a moving violation. Angela Fitzl, age 47, was cited for operating after suspension of registration, operating without insurance, and operating after suspension.

10:11 p.m. Police responded to a miscellaneous complaint. Incident for documentation.

11:44 p.m.

A traffic stop was conducted for an equipment violation. The driver was warned.

July 30 12:03 a.m. and 12:24 a.m. Two separate drivers were warned after being stopped for moving violations.

2:36 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted for an equipment violation and the driver warned.

8:48 a.m. Medical alarm alert. Contact was made with the client who stated that it was an accident and there was no emergency.

9:37 a.m. Two very young children were found walking outside unsupervised. A mother of one of the children was located and information gathered. Still gathering. 1:10 p.m.

Ongoing issues with an elderly woman forgetting where she lives while out on walks on Emery Street. Follow up with Chippewa County Age and Disability.

2:34 p.m. Disabled vehicle call. Contact was made with the operator and assistance provided in locating help through Breezy Acres. 6:31 p.m.

Police responded to Aspirus Stanley for a dog bite complaint. It was learned the bite took place at Chapman Campground. Report to be forwarded to the Chippewa County Health Department.

July 31 12:58 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted for a moving violation. Shane S. Stein was arrested for operating while intoxicated (2nd), criminally operating while revoked and cited for open intoxicants in motor vehicle.

11:52 a.m. Jerome E. Christopher, age 42, was arrested for OWI 3rd after backing into a parked vehicle at the Chapman Park car show. He was transported to Chippewa County Jail and turned over to staff without incident.

3:01 p.m. A traffic complaint was called in. 5:04 p.m. A report of young people at Soo Line Park in an altercation was received. A knife was reportedly brandished during the altercation. Report to follow.

7:42 p.m. Police responded to a noise complaint from the Grant Street Apartments. No violations were observed. 8:34 p.m.

Police responded to a single vehicle car vs. deer crash on Highway 29. Vehicle towed due to disabling damage. August 1 9:05 a.m. An EMS assist request was received from Clark County. 10:53 a.m.

Stanley Police observed a vehicle being operated with expired registration. The vehicle was stopped, with the results that operator Todd Pecha, age 59, was arrested for operating while under the influence.

11:00 a.m. Stanley Police were requested for an ordinance violation in the Village of Boyd.

11:13 a.m. Stanley Police requested to assist EMS in the Village of Boyd on South Frederick Street. Officer assisted until no longer needed. 2:05 p.m.

Stanley Police were requested for a traffic complaint eastbound on Highway 29. Vehicle had exited the highway near Cadott and was not located.

10:22 p.m. Police were requested for an unspecified traffic hazard. August 2 9:54 a.m. Stanley Police conducted a traffic stop for expired registration and a cracked windshield. Driver provided valid insurance and advised the registration was currently being renewed and had already been sent in. Driver verbally warned for cracked windshield.

11:30 a.m. Stanley Police were requested for a one-vehicle accident. Incident under investigation.

12:45 p.m. Assistance was provided to EMS as needed with a woman who had become unconscious, fell, and was bleeding from the mouth. The patient was transported by ambulance for further medical evaluation.

3:09 p.m.

Stanley Police observed a vehicle pulled off on the shoulder of Highway 29 and County Highway G. Vehicle had left by the time officer had turned around to assist.

6:54 p.m. K9 Officer Trey and handler were requested to assist the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

8:31 p.m. Police were requested for a vehicle lockout.

August 3 7:12 a.m. A check vehicle call was received.
