Eight members of the Stanley Sportsman’s Club participated in a Department of Natural Resources training course this past Saturday. Purpose of the training was to obtain certification to become DNR Hunter Safety Instructors.
The group will provide field day training and testing sessions for people who take an on-line hunter safety course. It is then required to complete the course with the hands on “in person” field day test.
For those who would prefer the regular in-person class room setting training rather than taking the on-line course, certified instruction may be provided by members of the safety group.
Plans are in the works to offer courses beginning Spring of 2025.
