The tradition of leadership, confidence, and community pride continues as the Miss Stanley Royalty Program held its official kickoff meeting April 30th at Martino’s Restaurant. Five girls interested in participating in this year’s competition gathered to learn more about the program and sign up for the chance to represent their community. The meeting served as an introduction to the program, where the potential candidates signed up, asked questions, and met 2024 Miss Stanley Caroline Johnson and 2024 Little Miss Ryea Witt along with Stanley Royalty Coordinators Darla Ziwisky and Nicole Witt. The program, which takes place annually as part of the city’s summer festivities, offers young women in the Stanley-Boyd school district the opportunity to build confidence, strengthen public speaking skills, and serve as ambassadors for Stanley throughout the year. Contestants will participate in local events, parades, and volunteer activities that help foster a strong sense of community involvement.
The Miss Stanley Royalty Program features three age divisions:
• Little Miss: ages 6–10
• Junior Miss: ages 11–15
• Miss Stanley: ages 16–18
To participate, candidates must reside in the Stanley-Boyd School District.
Each category offers participants a unique chance to grow, engage with the community, and take on leadership roles. The program not only fosters personal growth and public speaking skills but also offers exciting benefits for winners in the Miss Stanley division. The crowned Miss Stanley will receive:
• An all-expense-paid trip to the St. Paul Winter Carnival with a dress allowance
• A $500 college scholarship
Additionally, the 1st Princess will receive a $300 scholarship and the 2nd Princess a $150 scholarship.
While no candidates have signed up for the Miss Stanley title, organizers are encouraging eligible young women to sign up and to take this opportunity to lead, inspire, and make a meaningful difference in the Stanley community.
The coronation ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 12 at 5:00 p.m. at the Stanley Theater, which proudly sponsors the pageant. That same evening will also feature the Grand Marshal presentation for Stanley’s Father’s Day Weekend Parade, scheduled for June 14. The Miss Stanley Royalty Program is proudly sponsored by the Stanley Area Chamber of Commerce. “The Chamber actively supports local events, and initiatives, including the Miss Stanley Royalty Program, as part of its mission to promote tourism, recruit new businesses, and support current local businesses,” said Chamber of Commerce Marketing Coordinator Nicole Witt.
With the competition season officially underway, the Stanley community eagerly awaits to see which young leaders will rise to represent Stanley with pride, grace, and spirit.
