Stanley-Boyd volleyball player and senior Kelly Lew has made her mark on the Orioles program, reaching two major career milestones this season while continuing to provide leadership on and off the court.

Lew is the daughter of Dean and Melissa Lew. A four-year varsity starter and two-year team captain, Lew has established herself as one of the top hitters in Wisconsin Division 3 volleyball. Her accomplishments include three First Team All-Conference selections, reflecting her consistent performance throughout her high school career.

This season, Lew reached the 1,000-kill milestone while competing at the Sprawl volleyball tournament. Just one week later, she recorded her 1,000th career dig during competition in Durand, demonstrating her abilities on both offense and defense.

The milestones highlight Lew's versatility as a player, combining the attacking skills necessary to score points at the net with the defensive abilities needed to keep rallies alive.

Through the current season, Lew has accumulated 1,142 career kills, including 260 during the 2026 season. She has also recorded 1,115 career digs of which 215 have been this season, along with 33 service aces. Her career total for aces stands at 152.

Stanley-Boyd varsity volleyball coach Karley Wiensch praised Lew for her competitive intensity, work ethic and commitment to improving the team.

“She is an intense player and is always working hard and learning as she competes,” Wiensch said. “She wants the team to be successful and push themselves through games and practices. She is a vocal leader.”

As a team captain for the past two seasons, Lew has helped set the tone during practices and competition, encouraging teammates to challenge themselves and work toward shared goals.

With more than 1,000 career kills and digs, three First Team All-Conference honors and four seasons of varsity experience, Lew has compiled an impressive record of achievement as an Oriole, earning recognition as an Athlete of the Week nominee.
