White Barn Realty celebrates opening with ribbon cutting in Stanley

A new business has joined the heart of downtown Stanley as the Stanley Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, May 9, to welcome White Barn Realty to the community. The real estate firm, located at 213-1/4 N. Broadway St., Stanley, is owned and operated by Courtney Luzinski and Alicia Soper.
Community members, chamber representatives, and local economic leaders gathered for the event, including Charlie Walker, Executive Director of the Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation, who delivered remarks highlighting the importance of networking and community connection fostered by local chambers.
“One of the important roles the Stanley Chamber plays is networking—connecting and getting businesses together,” Walker said. “You could have opened your business in any rural community, but we’re so glad you chose Stanley.”
During the event, Luzinski and Soper shared their vision for White Barn Realty and their reasons for setting up shop in Stanley.
“I live in Stanley, and Alicia is from Gilman,” Luzinski explained. “We knew we wanted our firm in a rural area because that’s where we live—and we believe small towns deserve the best too. Our goal is to make a positive impact on the community by having a presence on Main Street. We love the idea of revitalizing small-town downtowns and bringing people back together.”
White Barn Realty offers a full range of real estate services, including residential, commercial, agricultural, and vacant land sales. A standout feature of the new office is an in-house closing room, allowing clients to complete transactions locally without having to travel to larger cities like Chippewa Falls or Eau Claire.
Soper emphasized the firm’s commitment to community engagement and personal connection.
“To us, community means schools, families—everything,” she said. “We both have kids and want to stay involved. A lot of businesses in real estate today lack that face-to-face interaction. It’s easy to hide behind emails and texts, but some conversations need to be had in person. That’s why having a physical location was important to us. Real relationships matter.”
Walker echoed their sentiments, noting, “From an economic development perspective, what makes Stanley a great place to raise a family—and a business—is that entrepreneurial spirit and the way people work together to move the community forward. We’re thrilled to welcome White Barn Realty to our downtown.”
Following the speeches, the group moved outside for the ribbon cutting in front of the building, marking the official launch of White Barn Realty’s presence in Stanley. The weather was sunny, the crowd was cheerful, and spirits were high as another local business joined the city’s growing Main Street momentum.
