The Free Community Christmas meal will be held again following last year’s basket design. Families who receive are excited at the opportunity to prepare their own Christmas meal and invite Uncle Bill or Aunt Mary or whomever to their celebration. We believe no one should have to spend Christmas without a great meal. Just call 715-644-2693 by December 12th, 2022 to reserve a basket for pickup or delivery. Baskets will be available on December 20, 2022 at Trinity Vineyard Church east of Stanley on County Highway X from 3:00-6:00 PM.
The meal will consist of a Christmas basket of pre-packaged meat items and select sides that individuals can prepare for their Christmas meal. There is such a need for this meal in our area. 15 years ago we delivered 125 meals, last year it was 105 baskets providing nearly 300 meals. Due to limited amounts of meals available emphasis will be for the elderly, those receiving Meals on Wheels and individuals who spend Christmas alone.
As evidenced by the many wonderful volunteers and benefactors of the past years, this is an event our communities support and enjoy doing – giving back to others. In these trying times there is still a need for this Christmas blessing. Monetary donations are appreciated to bless as many as possible, your expression of generosity may be mailed to Trinity Vineyard Church, P.O. Box 46 Stanley, WI 54768 notate in the memo Christmas Dinner. Thank you for helping others.
“This whole event is just a Blessing to all who receive and all who help,” chairperson Linda Hakes said of the Christmas meal.
