Classes have been officially set for this year’s Pull with the Wisconsin Tractor Puller’s Association (WTPA). They are as follows:
1. Superstock 4x4 Truck
2. Modified 4x4 Truck
3. 2.6 Diesel 4x4 Truck
4. Light Limited Superstock Tractor
5. Light Superstock Tractor
6. Pro Farm Tractor
7. Super Farm Tractor
The WTPA track officials will decide the pulling order that night. Also, the truck pull will be on Friday night, June 6th so the next night all the pullers will be going to Ellsworth on the night of Saturday, June 7th.
We will be the season opener once again for the WTPA pulling circuit for the year.
After the success of last year with our first time with the WTPA and getting the honor of being voted “Event Of The Year” at their yearly banquet we decided to add another class to make the show last longer.
The officials were very impressed not only by our setup but also how good our track is for traction. If you look closely at the eliminator that night on the starting point you will see that the rear end of it is somewhat higher than the front so when the puller starts out its not hard to get moving and they get a lot of ground speed and the RPMs come up quickly to really get going down the track. Some of the pullers will hit over thirty miles per hour. They all are inspected to make sure all safety equipment is in place. Also, if the puller breaks away from the Eliminator a kill switch will shut the engine down.
The week before will be very busy getting everything in place and set up.
