Joe Kiebles was recently recognized for 45 years of membership in the American Legion.
Kiebles, a member of Victory Legion Post 112 in Stanley, was presented with a continuous member certificate at the July 12, Legion meeting, presented by Post Commander Bruce Wozniak. Kiebles is a member of the color guard for veteran funerals and also works charity events, selling raffle tickets to raise money to enable the post to help veterans and provide scholarships.
The continuous membership certificate bears witness to this dedication.
“Be known that proper attestation had been provided to the effect that Joe Kiebles has been a member in good standing of the American Legion continuously for the period of 45 years,” the certificate states. “And be it further known that such record of consistent loyalty to the American Legion merits the honor of being cited as an outstanding contributor to the accomplishment of the programs of the American Legion.”
Legion meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m., next to Reclaimed Tavern in Stanley.
New members are always welcome.
