The air was crisp and cold this January 15, when the Otter Lake Booster Club held their annual kid’sice fishing contest, up the lake fromthe Rod and Gun Club. The event, which saw sponsorship from Adam Smit, Courtesy Ford, Citizen’s State Bank, the Otter Lake Bait Store, and Hansen’s IGA, was changed from its usualFebruary date so as to not conflictor else be competing with a similar contest at Lake Wissota. Showing off their catches, the kids had fun Saturday January 15, as Otter Lake Booster Club President Dan Liske announced the winners, and a lesson in how to stakeout the ice fishing tent was given,using a 2 x 4 placed under the ice, with Mother Nature doing the rest.
