With County guidance following
the CDC to drop ‘le masque’ requirement in all venues outside of
court and/or jail surroundings per Tracy Bremness as assistant to the County Administrator, the relaxed atmosphere as Chippewa County
remains a “high” risk level (we just
report) as to the threat of COVID-19 transmission, although no recent new cases were recorded Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, vaccines are available
and area summer events are on, after
the Stanley Common Council recently
approved several permits at its regular meeting Monday May 17. So what's up for public events this summer?
In the .rst place, there will be Ringelspiel, though this was reported last wee. as approved from Boyd and will run Friday May 28 through Sunday May 30 this year, or Memorial

Work continues at the yet to be finished Community Center, as nearby the Truck and Tractor Pull site plays host to dandelions – but not for long, as the Common Council recently greenlit summer events, including the annual Pull, while the overall risk level (see inset) sourced at https://covid19-chipcogis.hub.arcgis.com remained "high" as of early Tuesday May 18. Meanwhile, vaccines are available, with County appointments available through the Health Department.

As to Stanley proper, the Truck and Tractor Pull will be held Saturday June 12 into Sunday June 13th, with those seeking loud
and smoking action invited down to the trackway at Chapman Park, with the Park itself remaining open for permit purposes
until 1:00 a.m. on June 12.
Following the Truck and Tractor Pull will be Stanley Rodeo Days from Friday June 18th through Sunday June 20, the event being held in the Rodeo Pen at Chapman Park and sure to see lots of action, now in its 16th or so year of existence, succeeding the Stanley Steamer Days event which preceded it. The street privilege permit for Rodeo Days is listed as "dependent upon Department Head Approvals," along with that for the Truck and Tractor Pull, also at Chapman. Covered in terms of permits at
an earlier meeting is the upcoming Broadway Boutique Fashion Show as well, taking place June 17 of this year at the store.
Last but not least as to this fall, Fast Lane Detailing and Cody's Classic Cars will be putting on the Good Ol' Days Car Show on First Avenue this upcoming September 12, with the application stating that "organizers will monitor weather,"with Kelly's Grill the designated shelter location, just in case.
With so many events activities to choose from, it should be a fun summer!
