The Boyd Little League began in 1975 with 5 teams and 75 kids. The numbers have increased annually with the addition of kids from Chippewa Falls, Augusta, Cornell, Cadott and Stanley along with a T-ball League for the younger athletes.
The totals for 2022 are as follows: 7 T-ball Teams with about 80 kids 9 Little League Teams with about 118 kids participating.
“The Founding Families were described as a wonderful group to work with, the community was very vibrant with many other folks supporting the league annually with their time, talent and resources.” said Dan Strebig, former Administrator and Educator at the Boyd Public School and a co-Little League Manager.
Today the families participate with that same commitment. Thanks to all for this wonderful youth program.
