Thomas Hager, 19, had initial appearance Tuesday February 23, bond previously set at $2,000
A Boyd man is facing charges related to sexual assault of a minor after a Cadott girl told police that he forced her to have sexual intercourse with him in her Cadott home.
Thomas D. Hager, 19, of Boyd is charged in Chippewa County Court with alleged 2nd-degree sexual assault of a child under 948.02(2) of the state’s criminal code, a Class C felony.
Hager, who appeared in court by video means on February 14 before Judge James Isaacson with Wade C. Newell as prosecuting attorney, was granted a $2,000 signature bond and ordered to report to pretrial monitoring immediately after court. Conditions of Hager’s bond include no contact with victim or victim’s residence and family, along with no contact with females minors.
The identity of Hager’s alleged victim is sealed per court order, as is customary in such cases which involve a minor as the victim. Hager was next scheduled to appear in court February 23 at 1:30 p.m.
All of Hager’s prior law enforcement contacts listed online have been of a non-criminal nature for traffic and other offenses, resulting in monetary forfeitures only.
