Boyd native Jewel Fredrickson has been featured in an inspiring graduates series by UW-Stout.
Fredrickson, who first graduated UW-Stout in 2020 with a B.S. in Art Education, walked the stage at Stout this May for industrial and product design. Fredrickson earned a B.F.A in Industrial and Product Design with WB Manufacturing as an asset specialist prior to graduation.
Other Wisconsin students featured in the UW-Stout Inspiring Graduates Q and A include Luke Suiker of Marshfield with an M.S. in School Psychology, Brandon Dick of Whitehall with an M.S. in manufacturing engineering, Kendra Thompson of River Falls in interior design and Shannon Peskie of Marshfield, also for interior design. A total of 15 in all are included with inspiring graduates Q and A.
As for Fredrickson, her prior experience prepared her for what to expect.
“I knew what to expect coming back,” Fredrickson said. “My previous experience gave me professors who I knew cared about me and wanted to see me succeed. I got the same experience in the industrial design program. The professors push you to create your best work, and classes are set up for real-world experience, whether it is classroom exercises or sponsored projects for industry companies.”
