Meeting Monday, Jan. 9 at the Boyd Village Hall, the village board heard many things. Among them, was the news that a new engineer would soon be arriving.
Showing up to village board, Brian Lambert of Ayres introduced himself to board members as taking the place of Lisa Fleming, who he said would be retiring in March. Lambert would serve both Stanley and Boyd.
Also taking place Jan. 9, the village board approved a memorandum of understanding with the county on voter registration, a cost saving measure as the county rather than village will be handling entry in the registration system.
Boyd village board meets the second Monday of each month at 705 East Murray Street, with board meetings typically starting at 7 p.m.
