S-B Boys Varsity falls to Altoona 53 – 81

Follow up against Regis ends 50 – 61 in Regis’ favor Regional Start February 16 against Chequamegon

With the Oriole Boys set to facing off Tuesday February 16 against Chequamegon after this paper goes to press, two recent games against Regis and Altoona are able to be shared with fans. First up, Altoona! Playing February 11 at home, Carsen Hause led the score chart for the Orioles, with 20 of tbhe 53 points scored and two fouls. Hasue made several free throws, resulting in the majority of his game points last Thursday. Following up Hause on the Oriole boys score chart against Altoona was number 14 Brady Potaczek, with 11 pointas over both periods, the majority in thea first half. Potaczek suffered no foul calls. Meanwhile and tied for third place in teh score tally, number 34 spencer Booth and nuymber 20 Landon Karlen both netted four points total for the Orioles against Altoona, while Mikey Karlen and Logan Burzynski both scored three.

Following up Karlen and Burzynski was number 10 Cooper Nichols, with two points scored on a basket in the second period. Taken as a percentage of Thursday’s score against Altoona, free throws featured prominently with 26 points or roughly half of the total. So what about Regis? We’re glad you asked.

Starting off the score tally against Regis, Carsen Hause and Mikey Karlen led teh way, with Hause scoring 5 points in the first period adn 10 in the second, for a total of 15 over the game as a whole. Karlen meanwhile scored eight in the first half and seven in the second, matching Hause’s game total at 15 points scored.

Coming up next on the score chart for points scored in the Regis game was Spencer Booth, with six points total, four in teh first half and two in the seond. Cooper Nichols and Brady Potaczek tied for the game contributing four points each, while Logan Burzynski, Landon Karlen and Anthony Candela each contributed two points, bringing the total game points to 50 over the play period.

With Regionals starting as of last Tuesday, this could be the beginning–or an end.
