This year’s recipient of The Esther Mathison Scholarship for a Girl with Gumption has been awarded to Breielle Thompson. Breielle is a 2022 graduate of Stanley-Boyd High School with plans to study Art Education with a Digital Design Minor at University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse. Breielle defines gumption as doing good and being her best. She believes that when she is an example for others that not only enhances her future but also shows others how initiative can maximize their ability to make a positive impact on the world.
