1942-2020
Carole J. Peloquin-Briggs, 77, of Boyd, passed away at home on Saturday, June 27, 2020. She was born on December 19, 1942 to the late Albert and Helen (Derks) Zais in Chippewa County. Carole attended local schools and graduated from Stanley High School.
She was married to Leo Peloquin and they had four sons. Carole is survived by, William (Tammy) of Boyd, Ronald (Sarah) of Jim Falls, Mitch (Kim) of Stanley and Thomas (Elizabeth) of Sheboygan, 9 grandchildren Kristan, Rachel, Mindy, Casey, Sadie, Cheyenne, Wyatt, Isabella, and Katherine, and two great grandchildren Mallory and Adelyn, two sisters Delores Long of Stanley and Pamala (Bruce) Licht ofBoyd. Sheispreceded in death by her parents and one sister Beverly Milas.
Carole lived most of her life in the Town of Delmar. She worked at the Badger Inn, Thorpedo, owned and operated Maple Hill Tavern, and worked at the Northern Center where she retired. Carole married Tom Briggs in 2012. She enjoyed being bird watching, cooking and socializing with her many special friends. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren with whom she was exceptionally proud.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 2PM on Saturday, July 26th at Maple Hill Tavern north of Stanley. Plombon Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
