A fun time was had by all the students at Saint Joseph Catholic School as they celebrated Catholic Schools Week January 26 through February 1.
The week started off with some crazy socks, just because it is fun to wear them.
On Tuesday the school celebrated career day. The students thought about what they wanted to be when they grow up and then dress like it for the day. The students also had a few guest speakers come in and talk about how their faith has helped them in their careers. Thank you to Deacon Willkom, Father Felix, Officer Straszkowski, and Miss Shoemaker for sharing your talents with the students and staff.
On Wednesday, the students went to McDonell Area Catholic School to celebrate the mass with the other schools in the deanery. Eight schools were represented for the mass and the Rally Day that was held after the mass. A HUGE Thank you to MACS for organizing all the activities that day. The students from Saint Joseph had a blast.
On Thursday, the students focused on the Virtue of the Month which was Fortitude. The good Lord will always be there to give the strength needed to get through any difficult time. Including building snow forts with little to no snow. And then getting the opportunity to make forts in the classrooms. The students finished the week by going to mass in the morning and then heading to the pool in Stanley for a little fun. After a bite to eat, it was off to the Stanley Theater for a movie and popcorn. And finally, Game Night ended the festivities on Friday evening in the Giant Fort that was built in the Gym. Families came together to share a meal, a game or two, and a fun time celebrating our catholic school. Thank you to all the families and to the parish for all the support! Your faith in the school makes it a great place to work and a great place for the students to learn. God Bless!
