Thank you to everyone in the Stanley-Boyd community that has generously extended a monetary or holiday item donation to the Winter Wonderland efforts in Chapman Park.
There will be an opening ceremony: From 6 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. on Friday, December 11, there is no drive through option, only walk through. At 6:45 p.m., a drive through is welcome.
At 6 p.m. there will be caroling and instrumental music, followed by a special blessing and lighting of the memory tree.
Santa will also be present with a small treat that his elves will hand out as youngsters walk through.
There are several sites designated for holiday photo opportunities.
There will be no parking available on the loop during this evening event.
All participants are asked to park in the lot or on the road and walk in if you want the full opening experience at your own pace, otherwise traffic will be allowed to move through the loop after the lighting of the Memory Tree at 6:30 pm.
Again, if you are choosing to enter on foot, you would need to park your car in the lot or road and walk through.
The Winter Wonderland lights will be on each evening from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. from December 11th through Friday January.
Thanks again for your support.
We are still in need of a live 11-foot or larger Christmas Tree for our memory tree. Anyone interested in donating can contact McKenzie Derks at [email protected]*
