The Otter Lake Booster Club hosted the 45th annual Charcoal Chicken Dinner at the Otter Lake Day Use Park on Sunday, July 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. No carry-ins please.

Included with this year’s dinner was live music from the Home Grown Tomatoes from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., along with games and cash drawings. Proceeds from the dinner this year will go towards a handicap fishing dock for Otter Lake.

Representatives from the Ice Age Trail Alliance were on hand to share information as well. Dependent on cooperation with private land owners, the Ice Age Trail secured a land segment on south Otter Lake this past year, with more segments needed to fill the nearly 38-mile gap between Perkinstown and Cornell.

As for the charcoal chicken dinner, attendees enjoyed food, refreshment, dancing, and raffles, with 50 cash prizes from 500 raffle tickets, prizes ranging in size from $50 to $500. A picnic table from Inz and Outz near Holcombe was raffled off as well.
