“Cyndi is resigning her position,” Alderman Kevin Hendrickson said of Stanley Administrator-Clerk-Treasurer Cynthianna Bergman when reached for comment. “I wish she’d stay. She’s done a good job.” Reached by email, Bergman confirmed that her resignation from the post would be effective August 14, pending council approval.
“If accepted by the City Council, my resignation would be effective August 14th,” she said, declining to offer further comment to the paper as to why she was resigning. Bergman was hired just last year to replace outgoing City Clerk-Treasurer Ketty Clow and had been in training to take on increasing responsibilities with time. Now, it’s back to the hiring process. Think you’re up to the job? Applications and a resume are due to the City of Stanley by this coming July 10, 2020 at noon, by mail to P. O.
